CORRECTION: My observation that The Decemberists had played in front of Obama’s speech today were wrong. The report I had been researching referenced the May date only. The Decemberists did not perform today in Berlin. Reggae artist Patrice and rock artist Reamonn performed in front of the Illinois senators speech. Reports are that the Obama campaign and the city of Berlin shared the costs.
I apologize to the Decemberists and Obama campaign for suggesting the characteristics of the event inaccurately. I regret any embarrasment.
