…by Alcee Hastings:
“If Sarah Palin isn’t enough of a reason for you to get over whatever your problem is with Barack Obama, then you damn well had better pay attention,” Rep. Alcee Hastings of Florida said at a panel about the shared agenda of Jewish and African-American Democrats Wednesday. Hastings, who is African-American, was explaining what he intended to tell his Jewish constituents about the presidential race. “Anybody toting guns and stripping moose don’t care too much about what they do with Jews and blacks. So, you just think this through,” Hastings added as the room erupted in laughter and applause.
Insane in the membrane…Insane in the brain.

And this isn’t last year’s team. They let losses roll down their back. Wrige ht and Reyes are hitting. Jerry Manuel, who should have already been extended, is the eye within the storm. Its his daily even keel which has kept the club from sliding under the pressure rof bullpen drama.

Stanley Kurtz has finally written an artcle after his looks at the Annenberg files which has confirmed earlier suspicions. Terrorist Bill Ayers and Obama did work closely together on the Anneberg project (CAC), sought to circumvent local schools to apply leftist teachings and did funnel CAC money to organizations fronting for ACORN. Here’s my September 13 link here.
ACORN is an organization involved in countless voter fraud cases across the country and complicit in the recent fall of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mae for its lobbying efforts to secure home loans without credit or income checks. ACORN in turn shopped these loans in large urban areas for gain. With the fall of the two lending institutions , ACORN now has a link on its site to help “stop forclosures.”
CAC translated Mr. Ayers’s radicalism into practice. Instead of funding schools directly, it required schools to affiliate with “external partners,” which actually got the money. Proposals from groups focused on math/science achievement were turned down. Instead CAC disbursed money through various far-left community organizers, such as the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (or Acorn).
Mr. Obama once conducted “leadership training” seminars with Acorn, and Acorn members also served as volunteers in Mr. Obama’s early campaigns. External partners like the South Shore African Village Collaborative and the Dual Language Exchange focused more on political consciousness, Afrocentricity and bilingualism than traditional education. CAC’s in-house evaluators comprehensively studied the effects of its grants on the test scores of Chicago public-school students. They found no evidence of educational improvement.
CAC also funded programs designed to promote “leadership” among parents. Ostensibly this was to enable parents to advocate on behalf of their children’s education. In practice, it meant funding Mr. Obama’s alma mater, the Developing Communities Project, to recruit parents to its overall political agenda. CAC records show that board member Arnold Weber was concerned that parents “organized” by community groups might be viewed by school principals “as a political threat.” Mr. Obama arranged meetings with the Collaborative to smooth out Mr. Weber’s objections.

Columbia has long been a pilar of democracy, anti-drug cartels, and anti terror during the tenure of its remarkable and brave president, Alvo Uribe. Yet Nancy Pelosi nixed a vote on a free-trade agreement this summer for domestic political gain for her own party by siding with pro-union forces in America. Now can’t even be polite and give him a curtosy call on his visit
From IBD:
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who arbitrarily iced Colombia’s free trade deal last April, refused to meet Uribe and didn’t acknowledge a White House invitation to an event in his honor. Later, her staff regally complained that Uribe didn’t call her.
This is part of a pattern. For years, Pelosi has insulted, slighted, road blocked and now ignored Uribe, the most valuable ally the U.S. has ever had in Latin America. Her motives are constantly shifting.
One minute she’s complaining about human rights abuses in Colombia, despite an 86% drop in the murder rate of union activists. Then she says it’s all about passing stimulus packages first. The common thread is serving Big Labor special interests at election time.
This is what passes for Democratic leadership these days. Uribe urged nonpartisanship in considering Colombia’s case for free trade, but lesser Democrats were just as craven and irresponsible as Pelosi.
Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama only grudgingly permitted Uribe to talk with him by telephone, afterward disclosing no news about why he still opposes cutting tariffs on American goods to Colombia as the free trade pact provides. Nor did he make any public statements, seemingly to make the call go unnoticed.
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, who’s fond of junketing to the luxury locales in South America, had no time to repay the hospitality to Uribe. And two Democrats held out as Latin experts, Sen. Chris Dodd of Connecticut and Gov. Bill Richardson of New Mexico, couldn’t give Uribe the time of day.
And isn’t it the Democrats with Obama lecturing us that because of George Bush, we’ve lost standing with our allies?

Betsy Newmark makes the link between attempts to suppress Stanley Kurtz and David Fredosso to the disinvitation of Sarah Palin to the anti-Ahmadinijad ralli in NYC. She’s keenly also mentions that Dems want to re-start the fairness doctrine. Says Newmark:
The Democrats would prefer to politicize what should be a nonpartisan protest against Iranian nukes and are willing to pull out all the stops, even threatening an IRS investigation, before they allow Sarah Palin to get a bit of publicity by appearing at an anti-Ahmadinejad rally. Rather than show solidarity with Israel against Iran, they’ll play some pretty despicable backroom politics. That’s how they put party first over country. And all those media people who are so afraid of what the Republicans would do to free and open speech might want to look to how the Obama campaign and its surrogates treat opposition and wonder what such tactics augur for when they had full control of the government and had used that control to pass their Orwellian version of shutting down conservative talk radio in the name of free speech through the Fairness Doctrine.
Dems aren’t for free speech and neither are Obama’s most fervent supporters. Their brown-shirted anarchy of silencing techniques parallels that of, well, Hitler’s Brown Shirts.

One member of a pro-Dem PR firm admitted that he-and he alone-was responsibles for the false U-Tube videos about Sarah Palin. Another member of the same firm who’s handle was traced to him hung-up on a Weekly Standard reporter. The firm has many close ties to Democrats and Obama campaign manager David Axelrod.
Jawa Report and Ace of Spades broke the story early this morning.
