A Good Perscription for the Mets

from John Harper.

I feel that Harper is spot on about making this David Wright’s team and that Delgado’s presence hinders that. The move the 1B is the best bet for Dan Murphy, the former college 3B. Please recall the disasterous attempt to make Gregg Jefferries into a 2B.

A closer is badly needed – at any cost – if not for anything than team psyche. Whether it be K Rod or JJ Putz is of no matter. Folks talk of the bullpen’s collapse as a singular issue, yet a healthy Wagner all seasom would have delivered the division.

Johan Santana is the goods and is worth every penny and the cost in prospects. The Mets not have lasted until the last weekend of September without him.
