It didn’t take long for the hounds of hate to sound:
In the Gaza Strip, Hamas representatives vehemently rejected Netanyahu’s address. “In his speech, he … erased the Palestinian refugees’ right of return,” said senior Hamas leader Ismail Radwan, adding that the prime minister also did not “recognize Jerusalem as the capital of the independent Palestinian state.”
Radwan rejected Netanyahu’s demand that Palestinians recognize Israel’s Jewish character.
“His speech is a slap in the face of all those who have opted for the choice of negotiations with Israel,” he added. “What needs to be done immediately is to sever all ties with Israel.”
The Hamas movement rejects a two-state solution to the conflict withIsrael and opposes negotiations with Israel.
At best, Hamas represents the military arm of Palestinians. At worst, they are their soul. In reality, they are both. One wonders what is in the soul of our president as he trumpets his Muslim roots and references much of radical Islam’s version of history. He’s surrounded himself with enemies of Israel, and is the head of a political party that puts its own existance above that of US security. For reasons that still bewilder, American Jews – around 80% democrat – are party loyalist first and turn a blind eye to Israel. And tonight as America sleeps, thousands of Iranians fight for freedom from instruments of hate in their streets with rocks, Obama is silent.
