In response to the announcement of Charlie Crist’s decision to run as an independent, the former Govenor said:

I am not surprised. This decision is not about policy or principles. It is about what he believes is in his political self-interest.

Let’s take a look at some of your recent activities, shall we?

Your behind the scenes push for Senate Bill 6 coupled with your ties to business interests that would have benefited from the Bill’s passage should give Florida’s voters pause. Interesting the FOE’s own teacher outreach sent out a letter to the state’s teacher’s with talking points lifted from your Education foundation. Your protege Marco Rubio’s lockstep stances on all points of view Jeb Bush leave the impression that Rubio will be listening to GOP annointed elders like you for decision making.in the US Senate.

Curious isn’t it the same opposition to the Arizona illegal alien bill that you both have?. Connie Mack is obviously part of your little merry band, too. A lttle too quick I think to jump ship as Crist’s campaign manager after Crist’s veto of legislation you prized and championed. His insertion of the Nazi anology was disgusting, irresponsible and indefensible.

Heaven forbid Florida have political leaders willing to make desisons that actually benefit the state as did Charlie Crist with his veto of SB 6 and his acceptance of the stimulus money to make end meet in the state’s budget. A significant amount of that money went toward the schools you so shamelessly say you seek to protect.

So is it exactly that has abondoned the party for personal reason’s again?
