Suzzane Kosmas and Alan Grayson joined the GOP in voting against raising the amount the government can borrow.

I know. THAT Alan Grayson. He normally rolls over for anything Pelosi wants. Kosmas at least has some history in moderation, but Grayson is a zealot that seemed to be auditioning for his own show on MSNBC. Either he knew the vote would come out the way it did, or he blinked. It could be that Grayson is feeling the heat and is seeking to save his political hide in November.

Dems hate Rep. Michele Bachmann. She’s smart, beautiful, communicates, and she’s a Republican. Dems just can’t have that combination. Say, doesn’t thank description remind of Sarah Palin? Maybe there’s some sort of pattern in their curious stereotyping. Yes, Bachmann and Palin were both on that disgusting rape list. Anyway, Bachmann has posting priveledges at Townhall and pens and excellent compare and contrast:

Today, the House of Representatives returns to work after a week of district work – outside of the beltway – and the next challenge facing the body will be making crucial reforms to our health care system. As the American people struggle to make ends meet, too many also live with the challenge of affording basic health care for themselves and their families. Any time a child or a parent goes without the care they need, it is a personal crisis for that family. However, there are two very different views emerging from the Democrats and Republicans as to the appropriate and most effective course to take in making these essential reforms.

Democrats are pushing for a government takeover of health care that sounds nice but would have devastating consequences for families and small businesses. A government takeover of health care will raise taxes, ration care, and let government bureaucrats make decisions that should be made by families and their doctors.

Republicans want to make quality health care coverage affordable and accessible for every American, and let those who like their current health care coverage keep it. Republicans support health care reform that puts patients and their health first, and protects the important doctor-patient relationship.

The Democrats’ government-takeover of health care will deny access to medical care and life-saving treatments. An estimated 100-million-plus Americans would lose their current health care under the Democrats’ government-run plan. Government mandates in health care already encourage waste, fraud and abuse that result in higher costs and more families without care. We cannot allow politicians and special interests to stand between patients and the care they need. The American people deserve the freedom to choose the health care that is best for their families.

Last month when speaking to the American Medical Association, President Obama praised countries that “spend less” than the U.S. on health care. For instance, the British system is often touted as spending half as much per capita on health care as here in the U.S. But as the Wall Street Journal explained today, you get what you pay for. The very real consequence in the U.K. is the rationing of specific drugs, tests, and treatments dictated by a government-regulatory body known as the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE).

As the WSJ notes:

“Mr. Obama and Democrats claim they can expand subsidies for tens of millions of Americans, while saving money and improving the quality of care. It can’t possibly be done. The inevitable result of their plan will be some version of a NICE board that will tell millions of Americans that they are too young, or too old, or too sick to be worth paying to care for.”

Clearly, this isn’t the path to effective reform we should be choosing.

Americans have already woken up to Democrat plans the nation in the stimulus plan, the Auto buyouts, and cap and tax. Like they did to get elected, they lied about these bills. What makes you believe they can be trusted with your health care? The only thing that’s resulted from these bills has been to empower the Dem party.

There is no way in hell that America and it’s interests are served with allowing Chavez and the emerging fascist leftism of the OAS a free hand in Honduras. Its bad enough that Obama and ultimately his party have failed to provide neither moral clarity or leadership to freedom seeking Iranians. Nevermind the stong arm tactics with another ally in Israel.

Yes, Dems. That means treasonous and you and your president will have proved again that you are not to be trusted when protecting America, it’s values, it’s friends and it’s standing in the world.

Good thing you sent all those hacks to Alaska to meddle in Alaska politics by beginning all those frivolous ethics claims against Sarah Palin that cost the state $2,000,000.

WH counsel Geg Craig, who defended President Bill Clinton in his Senate impeachment trail, knows something about taking on GOP senators. So when faced with a request for additional documents regarding Judge Sonya Sotomayor’s troubling ties to extremist groups, he lectured Senator Jeff Sessions they were “irrelevant” while denying the request.

Too bad, Greg. It’s stonewalling and you’ll not be able to tell the Senate no. Telling a former US attorney somethings irrelevant is not a good idea, but Craig has to carry the water here. Obama really wants a leftward leaning justice to counter balance against Bush nominees John Roberts and Sam Alito.

The votes are there for the Sotomayor nomination if Dems on Judicial stay together. But as more negative revelations and judicial overreaches that come out about Sotomayor, the more difficult it will be to keep all of them together. The Ricci ruling still will not go down well with more facts about Sotomayor’s associations that are well outside what Americans feel.

AJ Strata has a marvelously detailed post this morning on the frightening increase in unemployment in states lie Michigan, Ohio, Oregon, New York and Pennsylvania. All states went for Obama last year. Say’s Strata who provides some excellent graphics:

The liberal economic experiment to use the government to stimulate job creation is an utter and complete failure. Obama and the Dems may have inherited a problem, but their answers to the problems were all wrong. And that realization will come to hit the American public as this unemployment debacle runs through out the summer of 2009

I wonder what will happen when some of the fall-out begins from the closing of auto dealerships. These will be felt in more rural area, and Democrats and Obama really don’t care about those areas.

Its time for local grassroots efforts by Republicans in those districts to go on the offensive to defeat Democrat congressional candidates. The Ron Paul voters whom voted for Obama will not be voting for Democrats next fall.

Understanding the why’s is actually more revealing about democrats than it is the individuals they’ve attacked.

But I’ve realized something similar in Palin and Joe. Both did not become public figures on a nation wide scale until last year during the election. The similarity more potentially startling to consider is the fact that neither actually chose the spotlight.

Some from David Frum’s column:

In barely four months, Barack Obama has nudged the United States toward a future in which government will be bigger and more assertive — where taxes will be higher and government unions more powerful — where legal rights are less secure and contracts more uncertain.

In California, he is pushing a state toward the fiscal edge in order to favour a union ally. At Chrysler, he has put at risk the security of every contract in the country to please another union.

Meanwhile, his administration is planning changes to the regulation of finance that are likely to leave the United States less dynamic and less innovative in the years ahead — at the same time as taxes rise and educational levels decline. (Already the Educational Testing Service– the people who run America’s SAT exam — predicts a less skilled U. S. workforce in 2030 than today, with literacy rates declining by an average of 5% as unskilled immigration and rising rates of single parenthood take their toll.)

It’s easy to lose sight of these wrong and costly choices in the turmoil of the immediate crisis. But it is these decisions of today that are preparing the crisis of tomorrow.

Robbing Peter to pay all those Pauls. Dems are paying off their allies, their ACORNS, while putting a downpayment on their grip on power. That power is not about what’s best for America, its about, well, their power.

How much longer will American continue to be mesmerized by the charlatan?
